How to Make Nutritious Orange-Date French Toast

French toast is a classic breakfast dish that is loved by many. It’s simple to make, delicious, and can be customized with various toppings.
This recipe uses ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen. The ingredients are not difficult to find in your favorite supermarket.
This French toast is not only tasty, but it can also be a part of a balanced meal when paired with fruits or yogurt.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup cashews
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup date pieces
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 cup unbleached or whole wheat flour
  • 1 Tbs vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp coriander

Directions on How to Make Orange-Date French Toast

  • Place all ingredients in blender and blend for about 2 minutes until smooth.
  • Pour mixture into a bowl and dip bread one at a time. (Hint: Bread should not be dripping with batter, so wipe on both sides with another piece of bread or the edge of the bowl.)
  • Place bread on a hot non-stick skillet and lightly brown both sides. (Hint: Maybe baked in the oven on a non-stick cookie sheet by placing on the bottom rack at 400°. Turn when golden brown on the bottom, and bake a few minutes longer.)
