Bible Study Lesson 8 Video: God’s Gift of Repentance
Bible Study Lesson 8 Overview: We will look at the amazing gift of repentance and how it helps us in our salvation.
Bible Study Video: Truth Discovery
✝️ Explore the important topic of repentance and how Jesus, as our perfect example, demonstrated its significance in our lives. When Jesus came to John the Baptist to be baptized, He was showing us the way to righteousness. In doing so, He taught that accepting God’s gift of repentance is essential for right thoughts, feelings, and actions.
✝️ Repentance is more than just feeling sorry for our sins; it leads to comfort and helps us live obedient lives. Even though Jesus was God with us (Emmanuel), He recognized His need for repentance and asked God for this gift, just like we must do. This shows us that repentance is available to everyone, and God is ready to give it to us.
✝️ The reason Jesus lived a sanctified life was to create in us His holiness through repentance. God has a big role in this process—changing our hearts—but we also have a part to play. It’s as simple as focusing on God’s goodness and asking for a repentant heart.
✝️ The Bible continuously calls us to repent, reminding us that this is vital for our spiritual journey.
As you dive into these truths consider your own life. Are there areas where you need to ask God for a change of heart?
Explore the gift of repentance and how it can transform us, just as it did for Jesus. Find the video below to watch today’s episode.

My Prayer Choice: Lord, there are things in my life that I like, even love, that I know You hate. There are sins of thinking, feeling, and acting that have become virtually who and what I am. Now there are no more excuses. I am asking You to give me a repentant heart, one that hates what You hate, and loves what You love. You did it for Jesus, Father, when He prayed to You in the Garden (Matthew 26:39). I’m ready to accept that miracle in my life by daily doing my part, (See study guide, page 1: steps 1 & 2) and watching for Your miracle of a changed heart or right brain. I want to bring joy to Your heart. (Job 1:1, 8; Jude 24)
